ECE headlamps, amber daytime running lamps for the EU and side-marker lamps for North America.
A vehicle built to Chinese GB lighting standards will fail a European or North American inspection on daytime running lamp colour, side-marker provision and headlamp beam pattern — often at the port, after the freight has been paid.
Lighting is corrected before the unit leaves Shanghai: ECE-compliant headlamps, amber DRLs where the EU requires them, side-marker lamps for North America and daytime-running circuit rewiring where the loom demands it.
Beam pattern and headlamp units brought to ECE requirement for European and ECE-aligned inspection regimes.
Daytime running lamp colour corrected where the destination standard differs from the GB-standard build.
Side-marker lamps fitted where the destination requires them on a vehicle that left the factory without.
Daytime-running circuits rewired where the vehicle's loom does not support the destination configuration as delivered.
Questions
Because inspection happens before registration. A unit that fails on lighting sits at the port accruing storage while parts are sourced locally at retail prices. Correcting it in Shanghai costs a fraction and does not delay the sale.
China-issued manufacturer warranties are valid in China only, so the question is generally academic for an exported unit. Destination-market coverage is discussed case by case during quoting.
European and ECE-aligned markets almost always; North America for side markers; GCC and several African and Asian markets accept the GB-standard build. We confirm per destination.
